The Dominican Republic Consulate determines the need for a business visa based on individual circumstances. In most cases, attending business meetings or negotiations does not require a visa. However, if your activities involve financial transactions, paid work, or if you plan to enter the country more than twice within a 12-month period, a business visa may be required.
For visa-exempt travelers, we recommend ensuring your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your stay, carrying proof of onward and return flights, demonstrating sufficient funds, and, if possible, obtaining an invitation letter from the hosting company in the Dominican Republic.
